I arrived at the Boise Train Depot before sunrise as the city began to stir, camera in hand, the cool Boise air brushing my skin awake. From this perch, I watched Capitol Boulevard stretch toward the Idaho State Capitol as sunrise poured softly over the foothills. The fresh air and quiet morning made the city feel open and expectant.
This view has always carried a sense of intention. Envisioned in 1914 by Charles Wayland, Capitol Boulevard was designed as a grand promenade, a Boise echo of the Champs-Élysées. Completed in 1931, this mile-long boulevard connected two striking architectural icons, the capitol building and the new Boise Depot, creating a ceremonial spine for the city. It became more than a road, tying together places like Julia Davis Park and the vibrant Basque Block, where culture hums just as steadily as the nearby river.
Standing there, I could feel that story beneath me. The quiet footsteps of history, the rhythm of a growing city with the pull of the foothills beyond with an extensive hiking trail system. It is a place where past and present meet in the open air, where everything feels both grounded and free.
This image means even more to me knowing it was chosen, along with my Snow Geese Flock picture (https://kdbeanphotos.etsy.com/listing/4476618628), to be printed on an acrylic panel and displayed aboard the USS Idaho (SSN-799). There are three ways to print these images:
1) High quality, professional paper-prints.
Available in two finishes - luster and satin. Luster prints have a soft gloss and deep true colors. Satin prints have a smooth soft semi-gloss that keep colors vibrant.
Sharp, vivid and rich color sets this apart from a casual photo print.
These options are available unframed in 8x10 inches, 11x14 inches, 16x20 inches, 20x30 inches, and 24x36 inches. They are designed to be placed in a glass frame, which can be purchased separately.
Framed paper prints come with a 2" white mat border and are available in the following sizes: 16x20", 16x24", 20x30", 24x36", 30x40" and 32x48".
2) Ready to hang canvas are ready to hang right out of the box with zero assembly required. Ultimate convenience. Gorgeous finished look. It comes out of the shipping box finished and ready to hang with a simple nail in the wall.
Canvas prints are a well-known, high-end way of displaying photographs. 1.5 inch thick wooden stretcher-bars that give it shape, in the same way an oil painting is traditionally assembled. There are no staples or ugly lines visible on the sides (very important). These are available In the following sizes with the option of unframed or framed: 16x20", 16x24", 20x30", 24x36", and 30x40".

Who took these photos?
I took them myself! All photos in this shop were taken by me with a full frame DSLR at high resolution, and then hand edited to bring out the best colors for printing.
I live in Alaska and Hawaii, is shipping free?
Sorry but shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is not free. If you live in those two states, please select "Everywhere else" in the shipping options. Shipping will have a cost per canvas. Please reach out to me so I can give you a quote.
What happens when I place an order?
Usually it takes 3-5 business days to print, but can take up to 5 business days depending on how many orders we have to do. Then it's shipped and we'll send you the tracking number. If you are within the 48 states (minus Alaska and Hawaii), shipping will take 3-5 business days.
What shipping company do you use?
We usually use Fedex and UPS.
Will the colors match exactly what I see on screen?
We cannot guarantee that the colors will match exactly what you see on your screen. Different monitors may display colors differently unless they've been calibrated.
If your monitor is not calibrated, it's brightness, contrast as well as the lighting condition in your room can all affect how the final print compares to what you see on your screen.
My canvas was damaged during shipping. What will you do?
All canvases are carefully & individually wrapped with cardboard corners and bubble wrap, but if it was damaged during shipping, please send photos of the damage and I will send you a replacement for free.
How quickly will my item ship?
Prints and canvases will ship in 3-5 business days.
